This is a BBC report and interview with a recently released republican prisoner who talks about the use of frequent degrading strip-searches to humiliate and dehumanize prisoners at Maghaberry Prison in N. Ireland.

Late last year, at an International Community Artists Network conference held in Belfast, Ed Moloney told of the attempt by the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) to obtain access to sequestered  tapes he and Anthony McIntyre had garnered during an oral history project at Boston University. Now, this PSNI request will be decided in a case that is headed to the US Supreme Court for adjudication.

In the attached link, Moloney discusses some of the potential ramifications if the Supreme Court rules in favor of turning over these tapes to the PSNI.

I must admit I have lost sight of what has been happening to Irish republican prisoners in Maghaberry Prison (with the exception of Marion Price and her deteriorating health). Now, with the killing of a guard at this prison, I have gone on the internet to become informed. This is one of several articles I've located to which, as I find them, I will add more.
